Trumpet Trouble
« on: April 21, 2015, 20:21:29 »
The flesh is slowly falling off. I got them at the swap and it has never gotten puffy like they should. Several weeks ago it was knocked off but didnt seem to get damaged but it may have. It was not doing great even before that happened. The color is good.

Salinty 1.025
PH 8
Phosphate .25
Alk 9.5
Cal 440

Sorry Steve I had to edit. Could it be too much light?

Is your phosphate .25? or .025? Do you need to test it on my meter? If so your welcome to come by with a sample. If it is that high it could be a contributor. The other parameters look good.

How long has it been like that? They can stay closed for weeks and come back and split and do good.

Check your nitrite and nitrate. It could be that. Also, the lighting is important. You need around 80w of LED, like two 40w, or 200w of T5

My nitrates and phosphates were high.  I moved it lower and it is staying to look a little better.  I hane 165 watt led with bless at 55% and whites at 45%
