Title: 220 reef build
Post by: slandis3 on February 23, 2020, 18:38:50
So Its been about 8 years since we left the hobby. We had a few fresh tanks over the years now finally decided to do another reef build. We searched for about a month to find a tank that we liked. We decided to reuse the stand for now that came with it (will paint it to match the hood soon). Tank specs is dual overflow 220g, Trigger systems Ruby36 sump, aquamaxx skimmer, maxspect gyre pump and a few other odds and ends came with it. Since I started setting it up we have added a Simplicity DC3200 return pump and 3 Ocean Revive lights all from Lazy's shop. The tank had some established rock in it so cycling went pretty quick. I am also doing some 3d printed items along the way to mix both of my hobbies. Some of the items are heat/cooling controller housing, pod condos, flow accelerators, pump controller holder and a few other things.

Nice! Did you print the nozzle for the return?

Yes everything that makes contact with the water is printed in ABS. This is a close up of it.

It was nice seeing you again, it has been a very long time. We are pretty excited to get back into it again.
