The water is very milky. I have checked all filters, and the fish and corals i can see and everything looks ok. I will have to recheck after i wake up and the lights are on.

Could be phosphates too, I have the same problem right now in my rubbermaid tub.

I have found that water changes have helped out a lot too.

wait till lights have been on for several hours and then repost a picture of whole tank that would be helpful

I was talking to joel this moring and he thinks it might be a bacteria(spelling?) bloom. I have noticed some of the food in my sump has gone uneaten. I have a chroums in there and i havent had time to get him out. I think i will try and get him out this week.

did your temperature drop by chance?  i have had the cloudy water bacteria bloom and it seems to coincide with me leaving a heater off.  temperature drops about 10 degrees and the water clouds up.
That one guy who used to be on all the time......

I have two heater and a chiller at night the tank runs about 77.5 and during the day its about 79.2. The first thing i checked was the heaters and filters. I mad a quick adjustment o my skimmer and it starte to make a ton of wet foam. It has backed off a bunch now.The two things im thinking now are, uneaten food in the sump or like micki said something may have spawned. Ill just have  to wait and see. I am doing a 70g water change hopefully that clears it up a good amount.

well idid a 70g water change today and that helped. I think Joel and I figured the root cause. I had a skimmer leak so i had to shut it off while i was at work and re glue is. It was only off for 10hours but i think that was enough. I am haveing problems with my skimmer because i dont have a large enough pump and i need to replace my ball valve with a gate valve. I am going to post som pics of my huge skimmer. Its a loan untill i get the money to make myself one. I thought about just buying a skimmer but I plan on haveing 500+ total gallons of water volume by the time i am finished.

You glued it?  Hmmmm, I wonder if it was a reaction to the glue?

The glue never touched the water. I still had the skimmer off when this happend. The silicone is on the outside.I went about 2 weeks with my skimmer off when my pump went bad so i never thought about that being the problem
