May 2010 Meeting
« on: April 19, 2010, 21:08:42 »
Meeting Date: Sunday May 23rd
Meeting Time: 1:00 PM
Hosted by: Cyberwolf
Meeting Type: BBQ, Outside Games and DIY Moon Lighting
Directions: To obtain directions post up that you will be attending in this thread and Cyberwolf will PM you directions

Well looks like awhile back I volunteered to host the May meeting  ;D

The first weekend is mothers day weekend, and the last weekend is the 4 day weekend (and I have Indy500 tickets ) so the meeting will be 22 or 23 (I know some folks prefer Sunday afternoons).  Please vote for both if you could go either day.

Also, let me know if this is another holiday or fragswap or something that weekend and We can change it.

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

My original plan was to smoke some ribs and ask everyone to bring a side (optional of course), but I want to see how many plan to attend before I commit the money  ;D

I know we had a HUGE amount of interest in the DIY LED Moonlight thread, so This seems like a perfect time to knock some out.  I just ordered a few LEDs for METZCOOL for his March madness bracket prize. Josh could bring over a 2nd Soldering Iron and we could knock a bunch of sets out quick.

So, Please post up if you would like a DIY set of LEDs and will be at the meeting (date still TDB, so this maybe a little premature  ;D) I would ask you find an old cellphone charger or some other kind of dc wallwart adapter.  Also post up the output voltage (it says on the back, should be 5-12v DC) so I'll know what kind of resistors to buy.  Should run you less than $5 to make a set, I'll have to double check the price once we know how many we want to make.

If you need a hand, my iron is getting a bit old, just waiting to be used.

Might be making a trip eastward to see my grandmother (she's slowing down pretty quick) but if I'm in town I'm totally in, I have missed WAY too many meetings.
