Fail safe
« on: December 14, 2011, 00:02:42 »
To manage my Alk and Ca consumption I use peristaltic dosing pumps. They are on a timer and run 3 times per day for 30 minutes each. My corals are growing and 2 part consumption went up. Sunday I added 10 minutes to the timer. Well by accident I actually added 12 hours and 10 minutes to one of the cycles and didn't notice it. opps. Fortunately the timer is also hooked to my controller and is set to shutoff when PH gets to 8.4 and text my cell phone. Good thing I had that or it would have been really bad. Anyway thank goodness for fail safe's!

My controller is the one piece of equipment that I will never run a tank without again.
