Here are a few pics of my setup.  The pics were taken at the 60 day mark, and I just passed the 90 day, so I'll have to remember to take some shots in the near future.  It's a pretty simple approach (though certainly not inexpensive!!)  There is a one piece starboard bottom, 2 Tunze 6201's and 2 6100's on a timer, BM250 skimmer, GFO is run in a small reactor, Mag 12 pump for main circulation, and 10% weekly water changes using Marine Environment 2 part salt.  Lighting consists of 3 SS LumenMax III pendants, IC electronic ballasts, and Giessemann 14.5K HQI bulbs.  Fish:  Naso tang, powder brown tang, YW goby, 5 chromis, clownfish, two cleaner shrimp, and a pistol shrimp.  There are also two crocea clams and a few SPS frags.  I will wait until these frags show signs of thriving before adding any more corals.

Sweetness!  The rockwork will look even better once you get some big SPS colonies growing all between them!  Do you plan to stay SPS dominant?  That's a bare-bottom tank, right?

I like the columns.  Are they stacked on a pvc pipe stand?

The plan is to stick with SPS, though there is a colony of mushrooms that seems to survive anything.

Skimmer is an ATI BM250.

The rock is drilled and stacked on 1/2 inch fiberglass rod.  This allows good flow around all sides of the rock.  I cooked most of the rock for 4 months over the summer.

Your reef looks great, Brian!  Welcome to Ohio Reef!  Is your Tomini Tang still in QT?

Thanks for the kind words!!

Fiberglass rod was obtained through McMaster Carr.

Tim,

You may recognize a few frags (if you can actually see them)!!  The tank still has a while before it is mature enough to really go crazy with the uber-nice corals, but I am patient.  The Tomini is still in QT and is doing very well.  The process for bringing the salinity back up is in place and it should be in it's new home within a week.  It will be interesting to see how the naso tang reacts to a stranger in it's domain.

I did notice the ORA Tri-Color Valida Staghorn at the top of your reef. Looks great!!! I am sure you will be a welcomed addition here as well as another great source of knowledge.
