As most of you know, I have a small 20 gallon tank, and recently I started making my own water from an RO unit someone graciously provided. Thanks to a work trip and selling some stuff at the frag swap, I was able to get some things I had been wanting...(https://ohioreef.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20161016%2F1c51ada672b978a56b503dfb0f4f8a20.jpg&hash=f455ed5a20be1a61407874207cb119772e29b8b9)
So now that I have better filtration, how am I going to get it from garage to bathroom on the other side of the house?
Went to Lowes and picked up some wood, and this is what I came up with:
(https://ohioreef.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20161016%2F2f6483d3f7c476e9b30b1a15a198fd81.jpg&hash=03ab3fbe255f4a49a2e7ba3dc0fc83798d7a213d)
The RO/DI will bolt in at the top, and the pump will be below. I don't have all the tubing yet to hook it all up, and going to paint the "rack" before it's first use.
Thought I would share my first "useful" wood project.

Very nice ! ! ! :sSig_checkmark:

Thanks! Will post more pictures once I get it painted and get everything in place. I will need to order some tubes from marine depot unless Lazy has some colored 1/4" tubing...

I have 1/4" blue tubing and most ro/di fittings you may need.
-
Was hoping to get red and some other color as well. How much for the blue?

I should be good on fittings as well, I have the adapter for the sink. I can't think of any others I would need right now

It is .25 cents a foot

Cool, mark me down for 5 feet. Dunno when I can pick up, hopefully this next weekend

Almost done, all that's left is tubing, and some form of storage items (wrench, and the in/out tubes)

Looks great, awesome idea!

Do you know what the waste vs recovery is on that system? How much R/O vs wasted water that is discarded.
Thanks!

No data on the ratio yet. I haven't even hooked it up yet, but as soon as I throw some water through it, I'll let you know. It's only a 100gpd RO/DI set from MarineDepot, with the booster I am anticipating close to a 1c:1d or 1c:1.5d or so.
