who's goin to MACNA 2012?

well it's official. the gf and i are making the road trip to macna next year. is anyone else planning on attending? it's supposed to be an insane event next year. already they have quite the roster of speakers, vendors, and events.

that it is. she didn't wanna go this year in iowa. she had to wait till it was a million miles away lol. should be a good time though. my first vacation since 2002 when i graduated high school.
so is anyone else planning on making the trip?

distance is more of a factor than exact location. i figure i probably won't even leave the hotel, as the even is being held in the convention hall in the hotel and i believe there's an attached mall as well, it just sucks that it's so far away.

Seriously, though- having been to a few MACNA's.. you rarely leave the hotel / convention center. Now if I was dragging my family along who had no interest in the event, sure, I imagine they'd get bored in Dallas.

My wife isn't as interested in the hobby as I am... So yes the surronding area would need to appeal to her... And I refuse to leave her home... not because I want her to go, but because I dont want to listen to how I left her at home.. Oh I can hear it now lol... Cause I am personally fine with dallas, I like Texas.

Let's see.. fairly close.. Dallas World Aquarium, the Arboretum, the sixth floor museum, Galleria, Six Flags, Ft Worth Stock Yards (don't know if there's a rodeo scheduled at that time..), Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, the Dallas Performing Arts District (too soon to know what's going to be scheduled at the local venues.)
