Title: Identification Help
Post by: ohioreef on June 28, 2007, 23:54:39
I discovered a new inhabitant in my tank tonight. Its body looks like an emerald crab, but it is white with striped legs. The body also looks to be "hairy". He is very shy and runs when he sees the light so I can't get a really good look at him.

Any ideas what he might be?

Maybe a Gorilla Crab?

It does look a little like the gorilla crab, but he doesn't have black tips (they are white) and his legs have little black stripes.

I've always heard if it's hairy it's not reef safe.
