Title: Meeting for Sept or Oct.

I'm thinking of holding a meeting in Sept or October.  I know, I know Lima is such a far drive, but I promise it will be worth your while to attend.

 I'm planing (if there is any interest) on doing a Acrylic demo.  I am either going to build a sump or a tank.    The wife said I couldn't BUY a new tank for a year, she said nothing about building one ;D.

So which is better Sept. or October?  And is there any interest in how to work with Acrylic?  I promise to show or at least go into great detail, everything I know about working with acrylic.  I will also provide lunch or dinner depending on which time works for everyone.  All you have to do is show up and listen to me :drink

I'd be interested. How about a workshop if you have room?  I would bring up a couple of pieces of acrylic and the supplies I currently have and you can show me how to actually use it.

Sure we could do a workshop, I don't have my good tablesaw here at the house but I do have a tablesaw.  I usually use the one at work, but I have everything else or its portable enough to bring home and use.

count me in. In October ther is the cora frag swap so make sure to plane around that.

I am in, how about we build a camera box for taking pics? I would be willing to go in on the supply cost to get to learn and build a camera box? What does everyone else think? I would also be fine with just seeing a demo on building a tank. I think Sept would be better but that is just my .02 cents.

See how a good idea goes bad Lonnie?  :laugh:   You volunteer to show how you build a sump/tank and soon we'll all have you building everything acrylic.  ;D

i think we should build a robot that will turn into a 50+ gallon tank... i would certainly stand in line to buy one.

having been told about a possible design for the tank im anxious to see it come to fruition and am rooting for it to be built at the meeting.

I would love to see an acrylic tank or sump demo build - that's probably worth an hour and a half drive.
