24v power supply
« on: January 15, 2014, 18:03:09 »
Looking for a 24v power supply. I purchased a ro/di booster pump and thought it came with the power supply. Guess I will read the fine print a little better next time. So if anyone has one they are wanting to part with let me know. Thanks.

Should have bought the kit.  Walwart 24v supplies are not common to have laying around.

What is the power requirement of the pump?   How many amps?

That's where I should have read the fine print. I went off the pretty pictures. The label on the pump just says Voltage: 24 VDC. It is a Kemflo Booster Pump.

Was this from ebay?   Or do you have a link to the pump.  Try to google it.

Does it have a HP rating

My booster pump has a 36v 1.5a supply.

Well here is their website.   http://kemfloro.com/home.html

You might try to send them an email.

I would suspect that this would do just fine (24v 2.5amp)....http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_1952214_-1   These guys ship USPS Priority Mail and take paypal too.   So getting stuff from California is pretty reasonable

I have some 24v supplies but the are not sealed.... they are designed for equipment electrical panels.   I have some big power supplies at work too.   I could borrow one to test the current requirement.

Check out Parts Express, they are in Springboro.  They are the go-to place for electronics, and I'm sure if you brought the pump in they could help figure out which PS to buy.
