better brand mh bulbs does matter!!

i always wonder the different brand mh  bulbs really give u different result grows & looks for your tank?
since my 125gal is use t5 so i can't test on it
now my solana use de mh bulbs, i decide change the stock current 14k bulb to phoenix 14k bulb to find out
after change to phoenix 14k bulb  my solana look like a complete different tank
grows is awsome so does the color of the coral all pop out

so the better name  brand mh bulb does give way better grows & color!!

Nice change.  I will say for sure that Current's stock 14K for the Solana isn't bad, though.  I'm looking at a few brands to replace the 20K in my 250w fixture (now the current one on my Solana) and I'm honestly considering seeing if Current's 14K 250w is close to their 150w because that's bluer than the CoralVue I have now.  I'm using the 'disco ball' on the 65 I'm setting and that bulb will need to be replaced in a couple of months.  I think you just sold me on the replacement for the 'disco ball'.

I like the phoenix lamp too, I have swapped it out on a couple tanks for customers, it looks better and seems to have better growth.

Your tank looks great under that light! I like the phoenix 14k too. It was one of the first things I had to change on my reef tank when I set it up.
