yea, it's a pretty impressive beast however I would of gone with a Spazz skimmer or at least a ER body with a spazz pump.  He uses a Sequence Dart & modifies it as a NW skimmer.  He makes them as big as you want & it uses over 100w less then the RC1000. 

I beleive the SP5 pumps pull 60w ea vs a Dart that pulls 140w

It is a impressive beast though :) 

Pretty sad when shipping that skimmer costs more then I paid for my ASM G3 :)

I'm all for pristine water quality and happy critters, but that seems like overkill.  How large is the system? 

Per the profile, the main display is only 180.

he was building it for a 300g system. Its got a 12"dia body not sure about the height.

I believe those are 48 in tall

the RC500 (which I have, kinda) is 12x30.  Mine is old & uses 2 SP4's

RC750 is 12x36 & uses 4 pumps

RC1000 is 12x48 with 5 pumps
