Tank is beautiful!  The trick to using just your phone for steady video panning is to relax your arms and relax / have some bounce in your knees.  Also move SLOW the slower the better especially when turning the corners of your tank.

The other thing you can do if you are really invested in making cool video updates is buy a 3 axis gimbal.  I just bought the Smooth Q one for my son and he loves it.  You can literally run with it and the video is smooth!  It's powered so you can remotely pan, tilt, roll etc.

tank does look good.  what kindof overflow does it have?  Very small footprint within the tank.  I hate my huge corner overflows in my tank!!  If I ever upgrade I will surely have something like yours.  The rimless look is nice also.  My diy led lighting is so ugly I have to have a hood on my tank.  I love the hardware aspect of this hobby, tells us more about your set up.

Thanks!

Overflow is a shadow overflow or a ghost overflow depending on who makes it. I would never do a tank again with out one. I would also never do a rimless tank again. They are more $$, super heavy, water spills out more often and your screen tops don't fit well on them. Unless you get one of the custom tops which are like $400.

Running an 8-bulb ATI T5.

This video shows the sump set up.

sump room looks good.  Similar to mine.  I use to use t-5s but hated replacing bulbs every 6-8 months.  Have you checked your par with 8 bulbs?  did you install your overflow or did it come that way?

When I was deciding on lights I calculated it would take 5 or 6 years to breakeven on costs between T5 and LED and I don't think LED's are quite there yet. I change bulbs once a year. I have never tested the PAR but BRS did a long video testing the ATI 8-bulb T5 and it produced the highest PAR out of any light source they tested and is actually more efficient when comparing PAR and watts consumed.

I had the people who built the tank drill the holes. I installed the overflow. pretty straight forward install.

who built your tank?  In the back of my mind I would like to pick up a new tank and was looking at customaquariums.com

Dutch aquarium systems. I wouldn't recommend them. But they were cheap. I'd check out plant aquariums.
