Title: WTB Clean Macro Algae
Post by: SweetReefOH on April 24, 2018, 16:36:58
Looking for clean macro algae. Caulerpa, chaeto, gracillia, etc. with no vermitids, no aiptasia, no flatworms, no nuisance algae, etc.

This is for the new build and I don’t want to introduce pests straight out of the box. I’ll pay for it!

For clean macro, I’d try algaebarn.com if you can’t find it locally.

120 gallon mixed reef.

They’ve been out of Chaeto for a while and don’t offer Caulerpa....unfortunately.

Your probrably not going to find a tank that is completely clean. The best thing to do is take a single strand or two and run it between your fingers several times to remove anything on it. A quick rinse in dip as well. It will grow in a couple months to a good baseball size or larger.
