Hey everyone
« on: November 27, 2011, 19:06:17 »
Name is Brian, just finally took the time to introduce myself lol.  Im 26 getting married in a few weeks, have a 15 month old daughter and my other kid is my 29g reef tank lol.  Tank is only bout 3 months old but its really starting to take off.  Im sure I can get some pics up sometime here soon.  Also from the Lima area, Delphos to be exact, bout 10 miles outside Lima.

This is my first tank and so far no major problems, just a few minor ones such as some hair algae, a few aiptasia, and a really mean damsel that decided he didnt like anyone.  But hes outta the tank now.  Just finally found a good guy in the area to buy corals off of finally.  He runs Aquaculture Underground out of his basement in Columbus Grove,  I highly recommend you all to check his stuff out.  Prices are awesome too.

Also im planning a 90-150g tank here in the next year or two.  Am looking for deals as im already thinking about equipement.  So far only things I will have that can transfer from my 29g is my reefkeeper lite, Carbon/GFO reactor, and thats about it.  I plan on going all out on it the first time around instead of constantly upgrading.  Planning on atleast 1 MP40 also, possibly 2.  Also interested in a MP10 for my 29g if anyone is selling one for a decent price, let me know for sure:)

Thanks guys!

Welcome, if ya need any help I'm pretty close by.  Only a few of us on here are from this area.

Good to know, yeah the lima area seems pretty dead as far as reefers.  Only a few I know and those few have gotten outta the hobby.

Here is the overall tank, only 11 weeks old remember.  Gots a lot of growing to do and everything started as a frag.  My cycle only lasted about 6 days and I added my first mushroom and started working it up slowly after doing a big water change to get rid of a lot of the nitrates.

Temp 78.5
SG 1.026 (35ppt)
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
pH 8.2
dKh 11
Ca 420ppm
PO4 .1 (hoping the phos reactor I bought and have yet to install will clear this up)

Want a pic of something specific, just ask.

There's more in Lima than you know of.  I can probably count 20 or so, just not real active in the club or internet thing.  Not all are reef tanks some are FOWLR.

I have at least 3 coworkers with saltwater tanks, and a few with freshwater.

Im from Bluffton which is Lima area and my brother andy1982 is also from lima. Need anything or have some frags to trade let me know. There are also a few reefers from the findlay area as well. I think we may need to have a little get together up north..
