Triple 30
« on: May 19, 2013, 22:59:29 »
New project in the works that I picked up from Joe (Twizted1). The system consists of three 30 breeders, and a 30 long for the sump. Right now i'm waiting on silicone to dry in the sump, and need to run the plumbing.

The only plan set in stone is turning the tank on the right into a frag tank. I have a PR72 Orphek that will be going over it. Thinking about doing a deep sand bed in one and putting a mated pair of Yellow head jawfish in it. Maybe get lucky and have them make lots of little jawfish.

I'm open to ideas and or suggestions.

Looks great. I already miss it. You need to do a Fu-manchu in one.  8)

I like the Fu Manchu idea if I come across one and still have a tank open.

Is a 4" sand bed in a 12" deep tank too much? I love the jawfish idea but questioning if it will work in a 12" deep tank.

Got the plumbing ran tonight, return pump, and heater set in place. Mounted the Orphek with a plant hanger from the side of the stand. Have to say that Orphek PR72 looks pretty damn good.

Been a bit since I've updated this...

Cracked one of the tanks setting it up so I've just been running the two 30 breeders and the sump. Got a replacement 30 breeder and cracked it while drilling it. Other than this the system is running great and my frag tank is filling up with coral. Tonight I decided to start adding some egg crate and will eventually build higher levels up.

What's the bright neon blue coral

the neon blue is just the blue light from the Orphek reflecting off the water.

Wha???????   How'd you crack it?   Normally anything 20g or over drills pretty easily.   When your ready to drill again hit me up.......we'll make sure you don't crack another one.
