Items in sump

I know that it is common for people to place the phosphate reactor in the sump.  Is it OK to set the calcium reactor in the sump as well?  I've seen several sites that say "for use in or out of sump".

Sump return section gets crowded...

Please advise...

I wouldn't see why not. I think of lot of people set them beside the sump and just direct the outputs into the sump.
