I had two fish and a pistol shrimp...along with misc crabs/snails.  They're all fine.

Thanks.  Somehow, it's not really bothering me a whole lot.  I mean, sure, it was 2.5 years of hard work and good memories, but I feel like I have a lot more than what I lost.  I have some really good friends that came out of this hobby, a ton of knowledge, less of a hatred of chemistry, and a bunch of other good things that I didn't lose.  Corals are replaceable.

Wow....  Sorry for the loss.

The lightening storms that came through the other morning put a whack on the sensors on my tank (Aquacontroller 3)  The storm had alot of electricity. temp, PH, ORP, and serial communications.  The temp reset pretty quick, but other stuff took about a day, and everything is reading fine now.  Luckily I checked my tank before leaving for work to catch this.   Not sure what would have happened if I didn't check until that evening.

Any surge protector on your setup?

The Controller runs on a surge.   Ground Probes in the tank too.   Everything is on ground fault and arc flash as well.   None of that tripped, which was wierd.

I am wondering about the rock? You stated it might be leaching something. Where did you get it and how long has it been in your tank?
Sorry to hear about your loss. Check for sulpher hydroxide? Crack open one of those rocks.
