Drove by on my way home today and saw the light on with the front door open so I figured I'd stop in and see how Dodd's been doing. He was actually in the store doing some light work. Just wanted to let everyone know that he's planning on re-opening part time (from what he said only specific hours on specific days). He specified that they will not be open like they used to be as he can't work like that anymore. He did say he is now planning on opening on May 1st. I just wanted to let everyone know.


MODS: this post is just to let everyone have an update on what has been happening. If you feel that this is too commercial or anything like that, please modify it as you feel.

I don't think they are yet...Dodd said he is planning to open back up on the 1st of May. Someone might be there on any given time/day but there's no guarantee. Right now there's not a lot of stock there but I know they have some large orders that are due in at the end of the month. If you just want to browse, your best bet is to wait until the 1st and call them. If you actually need something, call one of our actual sponsors (Aquariums Etc, FinsDepot, Marine Solutions, Aquatic Specialists, Coral Ranch, Buckeye Field Supply). They'll be able to get you what you need pretty fast even if they don't have it in stock.

im goinr to be there today to help clean up and get things staight.ill be there around 4 or so,I know if we can get prepaid for clean up crews hell put a order in,and we all know you cant beat hes prices

That sounds good to me. But Ive had a real hard time making contact w/ndr for some time and there just isnt the certainty thats needed to be comfortable with. What do you say?

I don't know....I've driven by the shop 2 or 3 times the past two weeks (during the day and the evening) and lights were off and doors shut everytime.

I dont think so;I spoke w/his mom the other day and she said he was not as good as b-4. Hes back to walking w/a cane and his speech is not as clear.

i live in vandalia and drive by it at least 3 to 4 times a day and never see it open

I wish he would open it up. I think he would be swamped w/new business. If he doesn't want to open he should sell it to someone that would keep it there. That is a great location for a LFS.
