Coral ID
« on: October 20, 2010, 21:42:24 »
This one has stumped me, I thought I had the name, something like mycemia or something starting with "my". Looked through my corals of the world books quickly and couldnt find it. Polyps are very large, about the size of a dime. Bought this as a rescue coral a couple days ago

Looks like goniastrea to me.  Mostly have seen them out of Australia.   They tend to get kind of a dome look to them.  Higher at the middle and the polyps taper down as it gets to the edge.

Does it resemble this?
