Hello all,
I have a 6 year old 125 gallon system for sale. Until recently, this system was filled with quite large sps corals. I have too many to list here, but I have about 4 colors of caps, a large green slimer, and various other branching corals. The system also has a blue tang, several chromis and pseudo-clowns, one cleaner shrimp, and over 100 pounds of liverock.
The system has fallen on hard times recently due to a new child being born. The fish are fine but the corals have been slowly degrading. I think it is time for me to send this system to a better home. At this point, many of the corals should recover with appropriate husbandry.
The equipment is as follows:
125 gallon RR
Pine stand, standard issue
Homemade top
400 watt MH lights plus electronic ballasts, two, don't match
CSS 220 skimmer
Two heaters
Digital thermometer
Homemade top off system
Hang-on overflow
One older style Tunze powerhead, non-adjustable sort
Various supplies and chemicals
When I was keeping this system up, it was growing sps corals like crazy. At the moment, this would be a good system for someone who is looking to get into the hobby cheaply, or for someone who wants to try and rescue some distressed but very large corals. This system also has aiptasia, so be warned about that.
I am quite interested in moving this system soon, simply so at the new owner has a chance of saving the sps. I would ask for 400$ for everything. I will help you break it down, but you need a decent sized truck or van for all this stuff. If nobody is interested soon, I will make the corals available for free, simply in the hopes that someone tries to save them.
