Ok since the other thread turned into a football/overflow discussion. I figured I'd start a new one to see who is coming to the meeting so I know how much food to make.
When: Sunday Oct. 18
Time: 2 oclock till ?????
Where: 424 Cornell Dr. Lima, Oh, 45805
The wife and I are going to be making Chili and Hot dogs. Probably going to do a cake or something along with chips. We'll even provide the pop. If you want adult beverages ya got to bring them. If you want to bring something else as far as sides thats ok to but not required.
Kids are welcome, I have a 10 yr old daughter and a 6 yr old son. I would also suggest lawn chairs and dress warm (no heat in garage), but if its too cold were gonna do this in the basement and I'll clean later.
On my agenda is acrylic work, going to try to build a top down photo box, a heater holder, and a weir box (overflow). I'm going to be discussing the way to glue, bend, polish and router acrylic as well.

JD I think your suppose to ride with Curtis and Myself up to meeting. Was you going to be by yourselve or someone else going with you? It was a toss up as to who was driving me or curtis. We were leaving at 12:30. Can you be at my house by then? Or does one of us need to pick you up?
Can I get the seahare On Monday or so? Man I really do appreciate that.
My Phone # is 236-1216 and I live off stonehurst just a couple blks from Walmart. Call after 10 am or pm me and let me know about the ride. Ray

JD, we're also going if you'd like to tag along with us.
-
Hey Lonnie...any chance you'll have the black vinyl?
-
I'll have it in the morning I forgot today when I was there, but won't take but 5 mins to get some.
-
Yay! :)
-
Anyone want to buy a 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" thick cell cast acrylic? Perfect for your next project that you'll learn how to do at Lonnie's! We ended up not needing 2 sheets for our sump design. PM me if interested. We'd rather not exchange it at the meeting since driving an hour with a sheet of acrylic on the top of the car is not fun....
-
Oh, and I'm bringing a Mag-Frag plug to the meeting to raffle off to one lucky winner. :)
-
POOP! My ride canceled :'(
-
if you cannot ride you are instructed to walk :P

Lonnie, thank you very much to you and your family for hosting. It was a bit of a drive, but well worth it. The meeting was very informative, food was great, and the company was fun. Welcome to our newest members!
We had 11 raffle winners!!! We gave away gift certificates from our sponsors, an acrylic heater holder, an acrylic photobox, an acrylic overflow box, a frag of Dragon Eyes, and a magnetic frag plug. Thanks everyone for the donations!
-
Thanks guys, I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves. We defiantly had a house full.
-
thanks to all for making my girlfriend and I feel welcome and Lonny for hosting the meeting. After seeing all the kool stuff that was raffled this month only makes me want to join even more.
Again thanks,
Garry

Garry, it was great to have you...along with other new faces!
To those of you that paid at the meeting...I have updated our list online and you should have full member priveleges in the next few days (if you were not previously a member this year.)
Everyone welcome our new full members: GreatWyte, Hunger, Camp, Klosterman, and (eventually ) wolfeden3

Lonnie,
Thanks for hosting the meeting this month. My husband had a great time and learned alot. Also, please thank your wife. I sat and talked with her the entire time and I really enjoyed myself.
-
It was a great time. Thanks Lonnie. It was well worth the cool ride there and back. You have a very nice tank, and a couple of real nice cars. Real good meeting everyone new, and seeing all the familiar faces again. Lookin forward to the next one.
-
Lonnie, I was looking forward to the demo and was not disappointed. And a good thing I am realizing is that I can remember the process. You did a fine job explaining the process and it stuck. Thank you much buddy. I'm sure all that were present feel the same. Ray ;D

It sounds like it was a meeting I shouldn't have missed. We have a house full of sick people and I didn't want to spread it throughout the club. Thank You for hosting Lonnie.
-
Thanks again guys and gals, I had a blast showing everyone how to work with acrylic. I think maybe next time I would like to do a workshop type setting where everyone gets involved and builds something.
Scott, I totally understand with the sickness thing, you were missed and as I told some others if you would like a one on one demo I'd be more than happy to help.

Thank you Scott for the consideration you showed for the rest of us.
