Very nice Rick!  We saw it at Travis's house before you got it.  How much water did it add to your system?

Glad to see you finally got time to put it in!  Time to get that macro growing!  Did you get your RO/DI unit hooked up yet?

Looks great!  Very nice Travis!  Rick, how much room do you have for a bigger skimmer?  The holidays are only 5 months away.  A big skimmer could go on a wish list.  ;)

i set the middle up big enough to hold two asm g4 skimmers.  i dont know what i will end up with though.  the skimmers that rob had at viggens house looked pretty nice.

so far its worked out nice.  i like having the return in its own compartment.  i was able to put filter floss in to pull the southdown sandstorm out of the water.

Rick, I wasjust looking at your pics...you may want to pull that heater out from being in between the baffles.  Heaters have been known to melt acrylic.  Just a heads up!

That is good to know.  I had read somewhere else that it was not a problem.

i have done it....as long as it doesnt touch or real close and water is moving should be fine...but if something would happen and it touches or water movement is stopped and it overheats...plan on a giant melted hole

that may have been me in another post.  i had my glass heater under a few pieces of live rock in my old acrylic sump without any melting.  the titanium was just laying on the bottom of the old one.

i probably had 3 or 4 glass heaters explode...several were my fault due to heating water and removing with out allowing cooling time...some just would crack

when the glass one blows (it was a freebie), it will get replaced with a titanium.  my orginal glass one blew apart one night when the suction cups let loose and it floated to the top of the sump and overheated.
