What is the best way to get this guy out with taking all the rock out?
-
Teach it to eat from your hand. I use frozen krill. Mine just eats right from my hand if I want it to. It would be easy to net.
-
He is always hiding in the rock. What do you entice him with?
-
Wow, mine stays out in the open all the time...very aggressive lil bugger that tries to attack anything I put in the tank. You could try dropping some crab food pellets onto the sandbed and wait for him to come out.
-
Does it come out when you feed the tank? Use some krill and a feeding stick while you are feeding the rest of the tank. You can also try a jar with some food in the bottom. lean it against the rock and wait for it to smell the food and go to get it. That might be a faster method. I always use a piece of foil over the opening. I cut a hole in the middle about half the size of the opening.
-
He stays hidden most of them time. He will show himself when I feed but he goes right back in the rocks. I am going to try the jar. You know I have never seen him show aggression but he is getting large and I just want him out. As soon as I catch him I will post him for sale. Very healthy and large.

1.) Rub thawed shrimp on finger
2.) Stick finger into tank near hiding place of shrimp
3.) Patiently wait for CB to grab finger
4.) Lift out of tank
5.) Prob solved
:)

LMAO.... and that is how you solve life's little problems, its all in the finger.
-
I'm laughing mine off also. Hey can I use your finger to stick in the rock?
-
Very nice. Good job. Why did you want it out? I have had to for about 2 years and never had any problems. They were actually buddies and hung out with each other. I was hoping that meant babies but no such luck. One died about 2 weeks ago :'(
-
Mine only comes out at night try to get him a few hours after the lights go out.
-
He has gooten somewhat large and he has become more aggressive towards my six line. And it seems just towards the six line. That maybe becasue the six line is always swimming in, out and around the rock. I want him out before I find my six line half is eaten.

I'm tring to catch my banded shrimp as well. I think he was the culprit of me losing my mandarins... I would like to move him to my 150 down stairs if I could ever catch him ::)
-
I continue to catch everything else except this guy. I might have to take all my rock out. Don't want to but I may have to.
-
Man, I feel your pain!
-
How do they know it's them you are after?
