water stinks

why does my water stink i have checked it and its OK, removed a toadstool coral that was next to dead falling apart could that be it ?

Yup.   Dying corals can release really bad stuff in a tank.  I would recommend getting some carbon running on the system, and a water change would not hurt.

I noticed your previous post where you said you rinsed your live rock off in hot water to kill your aptasia. That may have caused some die off triggering the bad smell. That plus dying coral would likely do it.

did a little water change got rid of the coral and things are looking better also threw away that rock the aptasia were on to did not like it anyway .got a sea hare and he is cleaning up the rocks between him and the peppermint shrimp i declare death on aptasia  thanks for the reply
