Title: Where is a good place to buy fish Dayton/Cinci?
Post by: jsweir on July 20, 2020, 12:54:32
Looking for some fish to start putting through QT while I set up my display. Been to Aquarium Artisans, low on inventory and Gerber I'm kind of hesitant with all the systems plumbed together and no QT process. Looking for good experiences.

If you buy from Gerbers, be sure to quarantine.  I was too excited when I stood up my tank that I didn't QT a couple of fish.  Gave my tank Ich and now going through the process to tear it down and go fallow with my corals to clean it out.

I am not sure if any LFS runs a true quarantine on fish. If you are going to do it, not sure what it matters. I would quarantine no matter where I bought them from. I think most of the fish I have now came from Gerber and Marine Solutions and I don't think MS sells to public anymore.

Cincinnati Coral and Aquarium in (union center) westchester ohio has a good selection of fish and are priced very well. John the owner is very personable and will help with anything you need. The store uses uv systems and copper on their fish systems.

Got some on order from Cinci coral and Aquarium - seemed reasonable and only 15 minutes away.
