2 shrimp 1 Q Tank

Just thought I would get an opinion on if it is safe to put a Tiger pistol shrimp in with a candy cane pistol shrimp in a 5 gallon quarantine tank?

both are small

I dont know what will or would happen with the two, but you could get a piece of acrylic and drill some holles so the water can get through and wedge it in the tank cadi-corner for a temporary fix.

How long do you plan on keeping them in there?  Would there be anything for them to burrow into?  I imagine they would get pretty stressed otherwise.  I don't think the tank size, in and of itself, is a problem as long as you can keep the water quality up.

Just a week or so. It's a stable 5g Q tank that I keep up and running. Gets weekly water changes with the other two tanks. It has a little sand 1" or so and sparse rock work for hiding. rubble as well.

Just worried about 2 shrimps fighting

Ah, I gotcha.  I misred that, thinking it was a goby and pistol shrimp...  You might very well have a problem, especially in that small a space...

5 gallons is pretty small even for pistol shrimp. I would be especially careful if one is bigger then the other.

I have decided to put the tiger in a flooded container in the Q tank just to be safe.

I have read that you can have more than 1 of the same species in a tank if you have the space.
