Green bubble tip anemone with exposed stomach ?
« on: September 22, 2010, 18:52:40 »
I have a Green bubble tip anemone with exposed stomach ? ( I think)

This has been this way a day or two after I got it and I have had it for a few months now. Eats great, doesn't move around the tank and is paired with a clown.

At first I thought it was splitting but that's not the case. anyone familiar with this problem ?

So it's been like this for a few months?  It looks healthy otherwise.  When you touch it and it curls up does the excess piece go back in?  Is it sticky when you touch it?

I dont know if it retracts at all (the stomach). The anemone curls up nice and tight at night (to my clowns dismay  ) as for sticky... It doesn't seem to be, at least not in comparison to the tentacles which stick to everything.

Almost forgot... Yes its been this way for a few months now.

Oh I completely agree. I love this little guy (girl) and I'll give you all the credit on providing a great specimen of a tank raised BTA

My GBTA feels sticky but not like it gets "stuck" to my hand or anything.  The coloring of yours looks good and over all healthy.  Maybe yours just has an "outi belly button"   ;)
