anybody have any cures for a red algae growing on sand and some rocks its thick and blows with the current any answers welcome thank you

I had the same problem in my tank and I changed out my phosphate media and added a second reactor and within about 3 weeks to a month and it is all gone.  You will probably need to start up a phos. reactor if not already.  bulk reef supply has great prices on the phosphate removal media and if you sign up for the group buy right now you can get even better pricing.

what kind of water are you using? also not enough circulation is what I heard that makes it grow as well. mine was thick and covered EVERYTHING, so I changed my water and that helped.

BTW, it's called cyano.
