Vermetid snail predator
« on: July 23, 2015, 10:57:05 »
Anyone have any first hand experience with something to knock down a vermetid snail population.  I'm aware of feeding less, gluing them shut and scraping them off but not having any luck.  With a 28g nano I'm somewhat limited on wrasses' that have been anecdotally reported to eat them.  I'm very pleased with the state of my tank except for these little SOB's.  I've considering adding an emerald crab, yellow tip dwarf hermit (if I can find one) or possibly a six-line wrasse.  Surprisingly not much help on the vast number of forums, figured it couldn't hurt to ask here.

My wrasses don't touch them.   I have a 6 line, radiant wrasse, and others over the years.

The emerald crab is probably you best bet.
