Caught this on Camera
« on: December 13, 2009, 01:55:33 »
First time posting a video for me so hopefully it works out. I just caught this on camera this Saturday. Only got the last half because I was in a panic trying to find a camera. Lights just came on for 30mins and this Stomatella varia started releasing its sperm and eggs, spawning into the water column. Its cool because it was smart, finding a good breeding spot, or prime location for doing this. It was high up in my tank probably 5" from the top of the water, directly in the stream of a Tunze pump, and hiding upside down under a piece of orange cap. :D

interesting, I knew those things multiply like crazy, I figured it was more of like snails laying eggs on a surface, the crawling over the eggs to fertilize..
