My flame hawk for some reason will sometimes perch on my derasa clam is this normal and it doesn't seem to affect the clam.
I sure wish I would've had this for the clam photo contest.

Yup, hawkfish are known for 'perching' on various things.

Hawks land where they feel like it. And if it's on. A coral or clam, we'll then so be it. Shouldn't hurt the clam if he don't make a regular habit of it.
