Hello my name is Joel.  Im on a couple other reef forums and recently heard about this one.  My girlfriend and I both joined here and are hoping to meet some new faces and maybe come to some meetings.  I will post my current 40 setup soon, and the 75 upgrade that I am in the process of completing.

Glad to see you found us.  Our meetings are very informal and usually a lot of fun.  Hope to see you at one in the future.

Thanks for the warm welcoming.  Im from Butler Township in Dayton.  As promised here are some pictures of my old 40L setup.  its now mostly torn down and most corals are in my girlfriends tank.  I'll post my new 75 upgrade in progress in a different thread

Hello, hello!  I love the Monti Cap on the back of your tank!  Do you have it on a magnet?

Thanks everybody.  Yes I glued the monti frag to and epoxy coated magnet.  I liked the Idea of it coming out of the back wall.  Its in my girlfriends tank and is a little bigger now.

I'm fairly new(only a couple years) but that picture was taken around the 1 1/2 year mark.  I dose a small amount of aragamilk biweekly. and I drip kalkwasser about once a month. i do bi weekly water changes with RO opposite the aragamilk dosage.  The setup is now taken down for the most part.  95% of the corals i own are in my girlfriends aquarium waiting for my 75 to get established.  I was mostly into zoas and softies for a while.  The 75 will be mostly lps with my zoas i've collected.  There is no real secrets.
If there was anything at all, I think the decision to get T5 for my first reef was the best desision I made.  Also, having a couple colonys will do wonders for making the tank look alot less like a frag tank.  With the 75 Ive learned from my mistakes equiptment wise. I've had to rebuy better equiptment this time.
