Green Coraline algae

I originally started with a 55 gallon sw tank.

After looking at it I decided I wanted to move it into a 75 gallon.

The tank has been finally broken in (just a trace of diatoms left and NH3, NO2, NO3 at 0).  I have a bit or purple/pink coraline growing now (none on the tank walls).  I have a lot of what appears to be green coraline algae growing.  I hear this is rare.  Could it really be green coraline or is it another algae form that I'm not familiar with .  (I'm very familiar with most aquarium algaes.  I've kept planted tanks for years and dealt with cyano, staghorn, black brush, green spot, hair, thread, diatom, and even grey slime)
I'll try to post a few pics later but my camera skillz are sub par.

That's funny, sounds like my tank.  I have a few spots of purple here and there but most of the rock is getting a green tint to it.  I know that it is coraline because some of it came out of my old nano and it had mostly green in it.  Is it rare?

I’ve found my tanks to have a progression of green to pink to dark purple.

I’ve found my tanks to have a progression of green to pink to dark purple.

I was kind of wondering if the purple wasn't the dominate coraline as that is what most established tanks end up with.

could be 2 things.

1 the green is actually normal green algea growing on dead areas of coraline

2 green coraline

I have seen green and had it in my tank.  The purple by far will over grow it in time

without a pic its hard to tell

Well the green is still gorwing but is slowly being replaced by purple in the oldest spots.  Guess something is going right.
