Selling the 90 gallon-sump-skimmer etc
« on: May 22, 2011, 20:32:18 »
$400 takes it all:

90 gallon undrilled AGA tank with black wooden AGA stand and lighted refugium/sump.
(estimating the sump holds about 30 gallons).
Pump
Eshopps double overflow box
Vertex Skimmer
48 inch USA Current Orbit light fixture (2 150 HQI MH and 4 96w (? I think) PC actinics/daylights) One of the fans intermittently makes a strange noise but the entire thing has recently been taken apart and cleaned and bearings lubricated, so I have no idea why it continues.

The lights all work except for the LED nightlights on this model. It was a shop fixture at Aquatic Specialists in Troy until Sept 2010. It has docking mounts (legs).

Make me an offer.

We need to get it out of the house now, so that the family room shows better.   Besides, that Jetties At Low Tide fragrance isn't all that alluring to non-marine tank folks, yanno!!

If nobody wants this I'll probably see if John at Gerber's will take it.  Being on my own, I'm not going to risk a Craig's List listing :-(     Too skeert.

Serious inquiries:  937 938-7182.  The tank is in Miamisburg, Sherwood Forest area.

Thanks again Steph, I really appreciate it, and it was very nice to meet you, I have to say that's the coolest thing about buying things from the members is just meeting them.

Boon, which skimmer are you going to be running on your new tank? Do you have plans for the other?

It was funny, and I do appreciate your help with the deal. I was just in a hurry to post that it was sold since someone else was calling me about it,too, and I was super busy moving my cherry shrimp tank.

Cody...the skimmer!  I have it at the Marcy Rd. house.  I can drop it off sometime, or you can come pick it up now that we know we're practically neighbors  ;D  We'll be around all day today having early Memorial Day BBQ so if you want to stop by that's fine with me.  4953 Marcy Rd.  Backyard!

as for the set up... I am not sure to be honest... I have 2 skimmers the vortex it came with and then I have my Bubble Magus cone skimmer(might use it), I know I am gonna put on a larger algae scrubber that is more in length horizontally as opposed to my mainly vertical one now... It came with a ca4000 pump, I see the gph on it is 1300gph at 0 head, but it's gonna be going up about 3ft so not sure what the flow would be at that height... I have a mag seven but I personally feel it is to low flow for this job so I will prolly let it go with the 55. A buddy gave me a blue line series external, and it is like 750ish gph(might use it, but I still feel it is low, I would really like to turn the tank about 10 times an hour.)

It came with an overflow, but I accidentally broke it, so I will probably be drilling it out, might do a coast to coast on it.

I put in for 2 new koralia on the PA group buy, but I might go with an ecotech just depends. I think I want a deeper sand bed than I have now, my rocks are shifting too much atm.

I'll prolly put up a post as I begin building and assembling it and doing a run through on it as I go... I'm just really excited to be able to get out of the 55gal that I have. Which I'll probably be putting up for sale, wife is not crazy about having two tanks in the house(sigh). But whatever I don't use on the 90 will go with the 55.
