Pex A
« on: October 06, 2021, 07:53:06 »
We've been out of the hobby since a move to Columbus back in 2014. Recently decided to redo our freshwater display and revert it back to a reef tank. Plans are to focus on LPS and anemones. Anyhow, I will be redoing the plumbing entirely and noticed that the nylon hose to PVC had some salt creep even though it was torqued tight was thinking of switching to Pex A and wondered if anyone had any supporting stories or solid reasons against it.

Didn't realize it was 2014, that's forever ago.  How have you guys been?

I would not think PexA would be an issues, as long as you are using the plastic fittings.

Howdy Paul! Thank you for the guidance, not sure if Pex A or B will be how we go.

It certainly has been a minute since living on the farm. We've been busy and now have little extra time and have been wanting to get back into the hobby. We are remodeling (paint and drywall) the room that the tank resides in, and will be rebuilding the tank right after that. It's a 120 display tank (much smaller than we were rolling before 😅
