125 almost done
« on: January 06, 2012, 12:02:01 »
Well after 8 months almost have the 125 ready. Still have to check the leds as soon as my Digital
Aquatics light controller gets here. Forgot to put the return line on my media reactor during the garage test (oops). Other than that everything was dry.  :-bannanna

the drains.

The one on the left feeds the protein skimmer. Flow is controlled by a ball valve.
canopy is in the works and will match the stand. (fingers crossed).
After that, install some wood flooring and in she goes.

It's actually not too noisy.

Well, light fixture fits in canopy frame :party0049:. Covering on the canopy next.
Now if I can get my controller to work (this weekend hopefully). We'll be good to go
if I ever get a free weekend to put flooring in.

You might want to consider moving those drives off your heat sinks as they get quite warm and could introduce heat to a device thats means is to get rid of it.  I would move them below in your stand, or you could just add another strip of material and set them off to the side of the sinks. It does look awesume!

Thanks for the tip. Will see if I can put them off to the side. Not much room in the stand though. Maybe an option could be to get some about 1" standoffs and leave
where they are just higher off of the heatsinks or maybe mount to canopy frame. Decisions, decisions.

The humidity in the canopy will be close to 100%. Driver circuit boards will be a mess in a few months.

I am planning on leaving the top open. Shouldn't be too bad with no lid.....I think.

Yes with open top shouldn't be any problems at all.
