30 gallon tank, with hole in short side
« on: October 18, 2014, 08:10:43 »
I have a 30 gallon aquarium, with a hole about half way up, 3/4 diameter on one of the short sides.   I used this for an above tank refuge for about 5 years.   The hole was done with a dremel, not a hole drill, so it isn't pretty, but it has worked.

If anybody wants it for a refuge, or practice glass drilling, let me know.

Thanks,
RayK

Standard 30 gallon, 30" wide x 12" deep x 18" high - or close to that.

Does a bulkhead seal the hole? If it is 30 x 12 and holds water, I will take it. I just cracked my 20 long frag tank and need something to replace it until I set up a new tank.

Yes, I had a bulkhead on it for about 5 years with no problems.

Measured this finally, and it is 36" wide x 12.5" deep x 17" high.
