Ok I found some halide bulbs online and may order a few to try. Does anyone want to go in on some? They offer 250w and 400w 14k and 20k bulbs. Here is there site. http://www.1000bulbs.com/category/aquarium-lighting/

Like Micki, I also just purchased "back-up" bulbs from EBay (site posted by Hunger) last night, but these are cheaper still.... If you get enough people, I'll pick up 2 x 250W x 20K SE MH bulbs to help out the cause; do they carry radium bulbs??? ....just keep me posted...

No all they carry for aquarium use is what on that page

Wow just checked for everything right now its only 10.52 to ship so add about .96 to the price of each bulb. Thats still cheaper than ebay and they are located in USA.

I guess if I get 3 of these plus the ones I just ordered that gaive me at least 16 months work of lighting for around $100.00. Not bad!

Looks like the more we order the cheaper shipping gets, right now its down to .70 a bulb. Sweet. I am going to email and as if they will do a group buy or at least free shipping.

He emailed back saying we would need to buy 100'sa of bulbs to get a discount. So looks like the prices on the net are what they are. That being said im still going to order bulbs from them next week. If anyone wants to go in on them (the more we buy the cheaper shipping per bulb is) let me know and so we can get a total and u guys can get the money to me before I order.

These prices are insane... and the reviews are good... I notice people saying these bulbs don't last as long as as the higher end name bran ones... but you could replace this bulb 4-5 times in a year for every one name brand bulb... this is a great find!

Ok so I am placing the order on January 13th the only problem is until everyone has committed I won't know the final price. Shipping is based on the amount we buy and the more we buy the cheaper it is. So i guess I will say I need to know if you are going to order no later than the 9th so I can get a total on shipping. If you name is listed on the front page and you want to change please let me know. As of right now the bulbs should cost about .90 each bulb to ship.
