I was looking through my newest issue of CORAL, and there is a great article about inland coral farming. In this article, there is a picture of a German company (Korallenzucht Wendel, owned by Jurgen Wendel) that has a rather large amount of these starfish in their sps grow out tanks.

Sorry Micki, it sure doesn't. However, going with the assumption that this is one of the largest German inland coral farms with the likes of Juilian Sprung, and Daniel Knop visiting to see the new setup. I'm going with idea that they aren't harmful in this case. They look identical to the very starfish that is in my (and possibly your) aquarium.
