Title: Year End Meeting and Raffle

We will be having out year end meeting on Sunday Dec 13 at 1pm.

Location will be at Keith92's house in Tipp City.  Address will be PM'ed closer to the event.

Anyone is welcome, but only Premium Members will qualify for the raffle and the door prizes.

**Door Prize**   For premium members who signup by December 5th, and attend the meeting.  You will get a special Door Prize.

Do we want to set a monetary value of the frag, say $25?  Just so we don't get some $50 frags and some $5 frags, this way it would be "fair".

I don't think personally that we should limit it. I also don't want anyone to feel pressured because they don't have the right gift or frag to bring. Do your best to bring a nice healthy frag of whatever corals you have. I can just say personally I am not giving a frag because I expect to get one of equal value, just swapping frags. Also, if anyone is interested in a Sunset Monti frag (for free) I have about 5 left and they are coloring up nicely. Let me know and I will bring it to the meeting.

If you dont have a frag dont feel pressured.  Usually white elephant exchanges are just based on if you want in the exchange bring a frag if you dont want to do the exchange dont bring a frag.  That way the exact # of frags are there for whoever wants in on the exchange.  I have a ton of frags right  now so i guess this is a good way to get rid of a couple!

Hello everybody,
The White Elephant was proposed in the spirit of giving and fun. The thought of giving, not receiving, should be the theme. Hobby related gifts are great, but gifts should not be limited to just frags. Other items should be acceptable as well and participation is completely voluntary. All gifts should be wrapped to conceal the content. If members are bringing children or significant others, please respond in this forum or PM me so we can plan some activities for them.

White Elephant gift exchange (trade of spirits) is a game to entertain rather than for gain. The game rules differ wildly. To avoid confusion during the game, Erin wrote down a set of rules for the exchange! She also fostered the idea for the meeting. Thanks Erin!  :)  I have attached a copy of the White Elephant Rules that will be used at the Year End Meeting Sunday (13 Dec 2015).

White Elephant Rules
1. Gifts must be brought wrapped
2. Numbers picked from a hat at the start.
3. Number 1 picks a gift from the pile and unwraps it and shows everyone.
4. Number 2 can pick a new wrapped gift or steal a gift from another person who has already opened one.
5. The person losing the gift may pick a new wrapped gift or steal a gift from someone else.
6. If a gift is stolen for a second time, the gift is locked to that person.
7. This continues on until everyone has an opened gift.
8. The person with number 1 gets the final steal, which ends the game.

It was me that got the stunner. It's living up to it's name and looks... well stunning in one of my display tanks. The DIY led fixture I made for that tank is heavy on the UVs so it really pops. I got the Hammer frag too and its opened up to almost tennis ball sized. It's in the tank lite by the SO26 fixture I bought from Brian. Thanks again I'm very pleased with both. Kirk
