2014 Club Meetings

Wanted to get this started now. Would like to have volenteers to host a meeting in 2014. The March meeting will be held at the frag swap, have a couple other things working as well. That's all tbd later. If you can please let us know as soon as you know. Thanks to everyone for making this a great club.

We are going to do a raffle for premium members again this year. Each time you attend a meeting you will be entered into the raffle. If you host the meeting, you will get 2 entries for that meeting. Also we are would like to have the meetings the 3rd Saturday of the month and the default place if no one hosts will be Marions Pizza in Troy. If you host and can not host on that day, that's no biggy. Host it on the day that best fits your schedule. Hope to have several at each meeting. Thanks to all.

For anyone that hasn't hosted a meeting but has thought about it there really isn't much to it. Pick a place and have people meet there is all it takes.

What is the Ohio Reef tank tour?

For the last few years we have always kicked around the idea of doing a club tank tour... plan to visit 3-4 members in a day, spend like 30-45 mins at each memebrs house just check out the setup then move to the next, we talked about renting a large van and shuttling everyone from house to house, stop for lunch inbetween.

Just let us know as soon as you know. I don't think you'll have a problem getting 12 people.

Okay.... everything is all set for the January Meeting - pending "administrative approval" LOL! ....I decided on 1-3 pm, Saturday January 18th since the Cincy frag swap is 1/25.... meeting will be held at:

Fox & Hound
2661 Fairfield Commons Blvd.
Beavercreek, OH

They have a back room with a pool table and I have reserved the room under "Ohio Reef Meeting" .... to do so I had to "gaurantee" at least 15 people - so an estimated head count would be helpful.... to "entice" some folks to show, I will be using my "party-starter" voucher that I bought at a charity event.... to that end, I will provide the club with:

50 wings
3 thin crust pizzas
chips & salsa
2 hours of pool table rental time

See you there...

My bad - I had the Cincy Swap in my phone as the 18th.... just got off the phone with F&H Manager Cory - changing the meeting date to the 25th is "no problem"....

25th was the "last" weekend left in January - unless we want to hold meeting on a Sunday - just figured that a Saturday would be best.... weekend after that is Super Bowl weekend and I will most likely be outta town - but not at the Super Bowl ;o)

Don't forget making fish food at my house next weekend June 8th at 1pm.  9094 Mary Haynes Dr Centerville. I will also be hosting CARE and CINCY REEF.  Come one and come all.  My entire tank and all contents will be up for sale at that time.  There will be lots of room, house is empty!
