My 75 gallon reef is doing well, there is just a few things I wish I had done different. I have an empty 90 reef ready marineland tank sitting around so I plan on building a stand over Christmas and new years. I'm going to have pieces of glass cut to build a sump into the bottom of the stand and make a side cabinent for the electronics. This will give me room to run the aquac ev180 skimmer I have laying around as well as get more rock in the sump leaving more open room in the main tank. The 90 also has a corner overflow so I'll have less dead spots. I'll post pictures as I get started. Just looking for some input. I also need a mag drive 9.5 pump. I have a mag 18 if anyone is interested.

About time you do something with that 90 lol.

The stand is done and moved over to the apartment. Just waiting on the glass for the sump to get cut.

U build it from scratch?

Sump looks great. Can't wait to see it all in person.

Yep. The guys at bigelow glass cut the pieces and I put it together. It's 32x17.5x11. I made it out of 1/4 inch glass.

Looks good...can't wait to see it all set up!!!

Looks good. Just have one question. In the pic the space to the left. That panel looks like it is all the way to the top. And only has a small gap in the middle. What are your plans for that part of the sump?

The first part of the sump is for the skimmer and the drain lines. There's an inch gap in themiddle of the wall so I can put a cover on it to cover up most of the section to prevent salt spray. The gap should also be an inch under water to stop some bubbles from going into the second part which will be the refugium.

Got the plumbing done with the exception of plastic hose clamps. Does anyone know where I can get them locally? Here's some pictures.

I moved the tank over about a week and a half ago and all is doing well. Jesse keeps hounding me to post pictures so here we go.

The fish seem to be camera shy for whatever reason.
Heres the sump.

This is the small door in the front of the stand.

Last but not least is the side door. This section has a removable floor to hide excess wiring and power supplies.

Very awesome build. Pictures don't do it justice.
-
Wow,that looks awesome. If I had that set up I'd be showing it off. Great job.
-
Corals look great. Not sure how you moved the tank and keep that setosa in one piece as fragile as that is. Nice job
-
Thanks guys. I did break off 3 small pieces of the setosa that I glued together and made a frag out of. It's definitely a fragile piece.

Looks great man !
