Title: AI Prime Ramp Down
Post by: Tavangel on January 08, 2021, 16:59:11
Hi all, I have an AI prime light, and usually at sometime during the slow 4 hour ramp down time most of my coral close up almost completely. Not just a shrink back to a night time state, but a full close up as if you touched / moved / agitated them. Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior? I'm kinda worried that it isn't exactly healthy. Also, I played around ALOT with the settings and couldn't get the light to just instantly turn off from 100% to 0. It always has a ramp down between 2 lighting value points.

Thanks in advance for any advice or similar experiences from people.

I’ve been using them for 3 years and yes, when the whites kick off, the torches and some zoas will close up. It’s normal.

You’re right, the lights will only ramp unless you’re in manual mode. That is actually a good thing on the LED’s.
