Title: Humphrey's Triton Results
Post by: Humphrey on January 11, 2016, 10:19:38

Water Source:
Filtration/RO/DI Setup:  Beavercreek City Water, Air, Water, Ice 4 stage RODI
Salt Used:  Reef Crystals
Water Change Frequency:  10% ~ 6-8 weeks
Any Additives Used:  Bulk Reef Supply two part

GFO, Carbon

Results hold me accounable...  Potassium, Iodine, Strontium low...  more water changes or dosing needed I guess!

Lithium high... reef crystals?

Also, weird Alumimum result...

Overall the tank is doing well with the exception of a bird's nest and pocillipora which aren't great, but I have a bird of paradise that's OK, so it's not all... montipora/acropora/LPS are good, some zoas aren't great (maybe the iodine)...

Lithium is a reef crystals issue.....I believe the aluminum is too.  Not sure what problems it is causing.

I see your Mg is tested at 1425 by Triton, what do you test yours at? And with what test kit?

Im trying to relate this back to Steve's issues.

Also, weird Alumimum result...

Point of interest about your Aluminum results, I do believe that some GFO products have this as a by product. I was talking "reeftanks" with a friend and he uses a Phosphate remover that has Aluminum as a by product and it gets picked up by his Triton water test results.  ???

I use Red Sea mag test and it was about 1250 when I sent my sample, so iI undershot. I have to say the mag is the toughest Red Sea test for me to execute, but it was off a pretty good bit.
