Why is my water turning green don't know if I have to much cheato or what did a 5gallon change and added floss and still cloudy checked selinity is at 10.27 what's up

That is almost always due to high nutrients in water. Same thing happens in ocean when nutrients climb. Green water = plankton and white = bacteria. Both are an indication of poor water quality.

So tell me how do I solve this problem feed less did a water change do not have a skimmer yet would that help ??

I have heard that some of the "self-contained UV lights" work really well for "green water". Haven't run into that myself, but that's what I have heard.

Good information. Same thing happens to my pool! The steps appear simple but sometimes my husbandry falls short. :-(
