feather dusters?
« on: February 04, 2012, 13:15:11 »
How much current can a feather duster take.  I am thinking of adding several to my tank but I have a very high flow tank for keeping sps and didnt know if the dusters could take the current.
thanks
Jeff

I have one large one that gets blasted by a k4
SIZE DOES MATTER

A fair amount. Better too much than too little.

Most will move and build a new tube in a position they like.  That's been my experience anyway.

I tried a smaller one in my main tank and within several hours one of my crabs had nabbed it and was carrying it off.  I had to grab the crab and shake him until it dropped the duster.  The duster is not residing in my sump.  Lesson learned.
