is cheato supposed to breakup into small pieces? The cheato I got from Wes is breaking up into small pieces, so i need to get some more please. The cheato I ave seen is reall thick and the stuff I got from wes was real thin almost like calerpa. Any thoughts?

Mine did that for a while. I'm not sure what caused it, but I attributed it to poor lighting.

Grab one of those 23w 6500k compact flourcent bulbs like $4 at walmart. I'm sure there are differnt strains of chaeto that are thicker than mine. When I first got cheato years ago it did turn clear and die and break up. But the second batch I bought has been going strong for years. Let me know if you need some more

Mine was thin when I got it. Get a good light, and don't move it around. Soon enough it will be a thick mat, like spaghetti.
