Nice pics Darin! I feel your pain on camera's I am getting better with mine but it took a 4 hour trip to the zoo to really get great macros.

What's up with the 2 bathroom tiles bungied together? They hold sea weed/algae or something for your tangs to munch on with the "natural" look?

Also I may have missed it, but is this tank still skimmerless? ATO only?
God is great, Beer is good, and People are crazy...

Life is a beach, I'm just playing in the sand.

yeah, the tile is for seaweed. i just sandwhich it, band it, drop it in, they attack the crap out of it lol. I put it in twice a week. I dont know if i would say natural look, but it holds the seaweed straight up and sort of blends in with the sand, so i guess you could say "natural" look lol. Also, yes, skimmerless still and ATS only yes. I think though, i will be adding carbon and some filtration because i'm getting tired of the free floating sand in the water and since i use Tap water for top offs, i figured carbon would be a nice addition.

Yes, your tank is going to be fun to build as well. I built my tank in a few weeks on the weekends i had time but the only difference between yours and mine aside from size is that its cold out so it's going to take a little longer for things to dry even with me heating my work area.

Thanks for the post :) i havent had any issues with it so far, no leaks, no creeks, no nothing. It's a pretty solid build. I dont think I'll have any issues with it for many years. I was hoping to sell this one so i could build a better, bigger one, but i think plywood scares people... I dont blame them, but it ends up costing you about 1/2 as much.
